Below is a recommended scope of work to resurface the tennis courts at Roane County Park. Contractors are urged to visit the site and to do your own measurements. The contractor is to furnish all supplies, materials, equipment, and labor to complete a turnkey project. The courts are to be reconfigured to have one tennis court and two pickleball courts with an area of approximately 13,200 sq ft. The contractor is to clean and fill all cracks (approximately 1,500 feet of cracks). Cover cracks with a fabric covering prior to paving. Apply a tack coat adhesive for new asphalt. Pave 2” surface of hot mix asphalt. Compact asphalt to 1.5” average. After the asphalt has cured as per the manufacturer’s recommended time for the acrylic resurfacing material, apply one coat of black acrylic resurfacing material to the entire asphalt surface. After sufficient drying time, apply two coats of color acrylic resurfacing material. Each coat must have a sand mixture to provide surface texture. Color will be chosen upon award of the bid. The courts shall be lined with tape and a line sealing coating to prevent the textured line paint from bleeding under the tape. Two coats of white textured line paint shall be installed for pickleball courts. The contractor is to supply 2 heavy portable pickle ball nets and posts and 1 new net and posts for tennis. Fence access will be the responsibility of the owner. Cleaning up of area outside of court will be responsibility of owner (Dirt, seed, straw, etc.)
