The Contractor shall perform snow removal and brine deicing, as specified herein, and as directed by the Resident Engineer. All fire hydrants must be kept free from snow and ice, and easily accessible in case of emergencies. The Contractor shall not pile snow near intersections of traffic lanes and/or cross walks. The Contractor is hereby advised that no snow shall be piled up and stacked around light posts, or onto islands or landscaping. If the Contractor is unable to remove snow from all the vacant parking stalls, he/she will return outside of regular business hours to plow all parking stalls. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. All return trips to accomplish this will be at the Contractor’s expense. ITEMS 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 - SNOW REMOVAL AND BRINE DEICING AFTER 1-INCH ACCUMULATION OR MORE The Contractor shall, on an ongoing basis, perform snow removal operations in a manner so as not to allow more than two-inches of snow to accumulate. The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, supervision, tools, and materials to perform snow plowing and brine deicing services at the Lockport Powerhouse. Deicer shall be applied to all roads, driveways, and parking lots during any freezing rain event and following the completion of any snow event with one-inch accumulation or more. Service shall be available 24-hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays. ITEMS 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 – BRINE DEICING ONLY SERVICES The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, supervision, tools, and materials to perform brine deicing services at the Lockport Powerhouse. Deicer shall be applied to all roads, driveways, and parking lots. Service shall be available 24-hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays.
