1. Site Attendant Duties: a. Understand and be familiar with the District and County By-laws, Policies and Procedures regarding the operation and management of the Container Site; b. Inspect all incoming loads; c. Reject unacceptable loads and record such decisions; d. Provide direction to the disposing areas of various materials; e. Do not knowingly or willfully allow disposal of unauthorized Unacceptable Waste (defined below); f. Prevent scavenging at the sites; g. Keep the district office area clear of debris for operations including snow and ice removal; h. Maintain a daily security log and forward to the County; i. Provide site security as required; j. Complete an incident report when necessary and forward to the County; k. Record all vehicles into site and record origin of waste; l. Maintain daily record keeping, including but not limited to: annual tag issuance according to district tax roll, load contents and quantities by customer name and tax identification number, fee tickets, credit transactions, annual allocation overages, on logs; m. Receive and record complaints as per County and District Policies; n. Perform clean up and maintenance of the Container Site in accordance with Site Maintenance #3 below; o. Control admission of authorized vehicles with acceptable wastes; p. Inspect fencing and gates daily; q. Control the dumping of waste by a licensed contractor in agreement with the Contractor; r. Control the collection and haulage of refuse and recyclable materials; s. Report damaged containers or bins to the Contractor on a timely basis; t. Perform on-site snow removal and sanding. Clear snow from gate driveway, around containers and recycling bins, and the district office; u. Keep grass and weeds at the Container Site cut to provide for a neat appearance, safe operation, and effective pollution abatement measures; v. Perform daily routine inspection and litter pick-up of waste at the site or at any such other time as the Contractor may request; w. Collect and submit tipping fees, book work, and reports at the end of each day of operation, as required by the County and Contractor; x. Handle cash, take payment, provide change, total cash receipts, and conduct other operational transaction requirements as necessary; y. Balance the day’s float, cash, checks, and receipts, ensuring all fees are accounted for and match the transactions recorded; z. Issue receipts; aa. Obtain and maintain required refrigerant removal certifications, maintain refrigerant recovery recordkeeping logs, and provide for third-party disposal of recovered refrigerant; bb. Use County-provided office equipment and technology per County policies; report any damage to related equipment to Contractor; and contact Contractor for County provided IS support for any technical issues related to provided services; cc. Operate County-provided backhoe per County policies and procedures; immediately report any damage to Contractor; and provide completed Daily Vehicle Condition Reports to County; dd. Keep office building clean to provide for a neat appearance, safe operation, and healthy environment; ee. Comply with all County and Contractor Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures.
