The selected Firm will be asked to provide professional intervention and treatment services for batterers (defendants) which shall consist of the following minimum components: 1. Lectures, classes, group discussions and/or individual counseling. Groups to be separated by gender. The Firm shall not provide any “couple counseling” or “family counseling” for defendants involved in the program. 2. Lectures, classes, group discussions and/or individual counseling shall be held in accordance with RCW and WAC requirements based upon defendant DVIT levels. 3. A comprehensive evaluation/assessment and written curriculum that informs of the operations of the program and outlines the treatment and intervention modalities. 4. A requirement that the participant enter into a written agreement with the Firm, which shall include an outline of the program’s content, the attendance requirements, the requirement to attend group sessions free of substance use/abuse, and a statement that the participant may be removed from the program if it is determined that the participant is not benefiting from the program or is disruptive to the program. 5.
