The Town of Barrington, New Hampshire, is seeking statements of qualifications pertaining to the implementation of its Master Plan and achieving the Town Center vision. We are seeking subject matter expertise in New Hampshire planning and land use regulations. Town leaders (including the Select Board and Planning Board) have clarity regarding what they want to achieve and need a consultant to help determine the best way to achieve it. This clarity is derived from recent Master Plan chapter updates and input from the community. The project deliverables will include answers to stated questions (including supporting documentation) and specific recommendations for changes to land use controls (changes to regulations and/or zoning amendments). Zoning amendments identified as the most pressing will be presented to Town Meeting in March 2025; future updates are also expected. This goal establishes an accelerated timeline where some deliverables will be due by the end of November 2024. The Town of Barrington has funding in place and will look to augment existing funding with a phase two Housing Opportunity Planning grant.
