Clean, prepare, and paint approximately 95 street light poles and fixtures in the City of St Charles, MO. Pricing submitted shall include per pole unit pricing, and the City reserves the right to increase or decrease the total quantity of poles to be painted prior to award. Street light poles are generally 14’ fiberglass with Early America style lighting fixtures, however this project may include lights that are taller or shorter or lights composed of other materials, such as aluminum. Price per pole will stand for all lights in this contract regardless of these potential differences. 1) Paint: Sherwin Williams Sher-Cryl HPA gloss black or equivalent to be approved by Public Works. Surface preparation and paint application shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications for the product being applied. 2) Back side of 12”x18” No Parking signs may be painted if attached to the light pole. Brackets or straps attaching sign to pole may also be painted. 3) Contractor must take care to properly cover and avoid painting the following items: pole tag numbers, street light ID numbers (usually a “SX” designation followed by numbers), and photocells.
