The City wishes to retain qualified masonry firms to provide the services of a mason. The firm(s) is to have sufficient staff to be available on an as-needed basis, and which will respond, as requested, primarily by the Public Buildings Director, the Public Services Department, and/or on occasion by other City Departments’ administrative staff which includes, but is not limited to: the School Department, the Barron Center, the Social Services Division, the Fire Department, Information Technology Department, the Public Assembly Facilities Department, the Police Department, Aviation and Transportation (which includes the Portland International Jetport), or, in an emergency, the Public Building's Maintenance Shop Coordinator. The contractor(s) shall be prepared to furnish all tools and/or equipment necessary to perform the necessary work. The work will generally be for repairing/replacing broken masonry pieces, re-pointing/replacing failing mortar, re-building and/or construction of small masonry structures, etc. Any travel time, if applicable, shall be included as part of the rates submitted.
