The purchase and installation of an outdoor public address system on behalf of the Transportation Department located at 100 Broadway Terrace. The following specifications describe the minimum requirements. The system must be low-amplitude speakers to avoid disturbing neighboring offices and businesses while being audible over the noise of idling buses. Paging horns are not permitted to keep the sound localized and prevent distrubance to neighbors. The speakers shall be installed under an existing canopy of a structure on the National Historic Register. The base amp shall have inputs for the microphone and an auxiliary input, and shall be installed inside the building. The cabling shall be 16/2 stranded speaker wire and 22/2 mic line wire, all of which shall be in conduit where outside in the canopy. System shall consist of the following: One (1) 60 watt 70 volt amplifier with inputs for microphone and auxiliary input. Shall have volume control. One (1) paging microphone with on/off switch and a stand Three (3) small format 70 volt 2-way speakers Three (3) medium format 70 Volt 2-way speakers
