1. The Contractor’s work shall be subject to Prevailing Wages and be conducted under WAC 296-127-01345 Landscape maintenance workers, WAC 296-127-01346 Landscape construction, and WAC 296-127-01354 Operating engineers (equipment operators). 2. Crew Lead(s) shall: a. Discuss work strategy with the King County PM. b. Supervise and direct work. c. Be onsite for all pesticide activities. 3. The services listed in these specifications shall be performed as needed and as agreed to by both parties. 4. The Contractor shall receive approval from King County prior to applying fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, plant material or soil amendments. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible to transport all equipment, materials, supplies, fuel and debris to and from each work site. There is no on-site storage for Contractor equipment or materials. 6. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits for their staff. WLRD will obtain necessary environmental permits. 7. All requested work shall be commenced and completed in a timely and professional manner as negotiated within the work order. 8. The Contractor shall have the capability to perform all services of the awarded contract in the designated categories below. B. Site Preparation and Maintenance 1. Site preparation may include mowing, brush cutting, vegetation management or soil preparation on a site in preparation for new native planting or construction projects. 2. The Contractor shall remove garbage as directed by the Project Manager (PM). This does not include permanent structure demolition or removal of illegal encampments. 3. The Contractor shall remove organic material such as lawn clippings, weeds and debris piles as directed by the PM. 4. All debris shall be disposed at a disposal location approved by the County. All recyclable material will be recycled at a location approved by the County. 5. All materials removed from sites shall be managed in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations. 6. Install access control measures such as placement of large boulders, ecology blocks or temporary fencing. 7. Contractor shall have access to mechanized mowers and a rubber tracked skid steer with tote attachments or small excavator to remove larger quantities of debris as needed.
