The Design of the New Simulation Training Environment is a full scope design contract which includes the site study, complete design and creation of thorough construction bid documents of the construction of the Simulation Training Environment located at 6852 4th Street, in Sykesville, Maryland as per the attached Program, dated 2007. The selected Offeror will provide design services as required to implement the design program as per the DGS Procedures Manual. The Simulation Training Environment project includes site work, site utility work, design and engineering, creation of construction bid documents, participation in the bidding process; mandatory presence at the construction site for the entire construction duration of the project, and limited participation at Warranty meetings held at 6, 12, and 23 months after “Substantial Completion” the project. The anticipated duration of services to be provided under this Contract is as follows: Design/Construction Documents - 12 months; Bidding - 2 months; Construction - 18 months; and Warranty (limited participation) - 24 months for an estimated total of 56 months.
