- Remote Alarm Monitoring: The unit must provide alarm monitoring as a safety feature. These alarm features must include Global/Discrete relays. The definition of “Global” is that the alarm relay must enable devices such as visual indicators, smartphone alarms and radio vibrating or paging devices to be connected to the alarm system. “Discrete” relays monitor simple on/off switches that produce an electrical impulse when activated or deactivated and would also be a minimum requirement. - Temperature Measurement Controls: As a minimum, the unit must employee two independent measurement channels with a sensor accuracy of ± 1.0°C and a resolution of 0.1°C. - Capacity: Neck Opening: 12.5 inches (317mm). Outside Diameter: 32 inches (813mm) Overall, Height: 57 inches (1449mm) LB2 Volume Liquid (Vaper): 463 (55 liters) Vial Capacity: 19,500 (1.2 or 2.0mL in 100 cell boxes) Must fit through a standard door, i.e., equal or less than 32 inches in diameter. Battery Backup: As a minimum, the unit must be equipped with battery that will automatically turn on when main power is lost and will guarantee power for 24 hours, assuming that the freezer is unopened. - Data Storage: As a minimum, the unit must store unalterable, time-stamped data in nonvolatile memory. The data must include time-stamped temperatures, LN2 level, liquid usage, and any alarms or events. - Password Security: Comprised of up to five programmable passwords that can be customized to restrict personnel access to certain menus and settings. - Liquid Nitrogen Level Measurement & Control: The minimum requirement of the unit is to provide a fully automated LN2 level control system, based on user-defined parameters, that can be electronically adjusted over the entire level range. We require a differential pressure system to determine LN2 levels, rather than alternative level sensing systems.
