The boat will operate in shallow waters and often will be grounded out on clam flats or shoals. The hull shall include a keel and ribs protruding from the bottom to facilitate straight tracking and turning and to protect the bottom from rubbing when grounding. The hull must be a modified V-hull to allow both work out of the bow on a bow platform and facilitate seakeeping in moderate chop. Transom height at its lowest point must be 20”. Hull construction must be all aluminum with no wood. The hull interior must have a flat floor (no exposed ribs in the floor) and horizontal surfaces (including the bow platform) must have an anti-slip surface treatment to afford good foot traction. The hull must have flotation that meets or exceeds the level and upright standards established by the Coast Guard. This vessel must have a bilge pump to evacuate water taken in from spray, nets, or rain. It is requested that the boat being bid be: Alweld 1856 Invader Polar Kraft 1860 T Lund 1870 Predator or equal.
