2.2.1 Project Goals a) Increase the amount of local food served in the School Meals Programs. b) Increase the amount of food purchased by LEAs from small and socially disadvantaged producers. c) Support local, small, and socially disadvantaged producers. 2.2.2 State Staff and Roles In addition to the Procurement Officer and Contract Monitor, the State will provide: (1) State Project Manager who will be responsible for collecting invoices and facilitating payment. The State Project Manager will also provide technical assistance, as needed. 2.2.3 Other State Responsibilities a) The State is responsible for providing required information and monitoring to facilitate the Contractor’s performance of the work and will provide additional assistance if necessary.
