Each Vest “package” will consisit of two (2) threat level IIIA “soft” ballistic panels (front and back). The vest “package” will come with: One (1) external carrier, (Cordura or equal material). • A 4-point strap system in the waist area of the ballistic panel carrier. The 4-point strap system fill be fastened with interlocking tubes and the straps themselves will be made from heavy duty elastic and be replaceable. • There shall also be a padded and replaceable shoulder strap on each side of the carrier. • All connecting straps (waist and shoulder) will be replaceable. There shall be no need to send the entire carrier to the vendor or elsewhere to have the straps replaced. • Each vest will include a Kevlar trauma plate. If there is a price difference, please break down. • The vest carrier shall be Navy in color. Each external vest carrier will have a 4 x 1.5 inch cloth nameplate secured with Velcro by vendor on the front and a 10.5 x 3 inch patch that says “SHERIFF” secured with Velcro by vendor on the back, and a badge patch secured with Velcro by the vendor on the left chest portion of the external carrier. Carrier mounted equipment options: • Two (2), carrier mounted quick release (magnetic, plastic, or other medium) Molly equipment pouch holder placards on which to mount equipment pouches. • Molly gear pouches for various equipment items (to include but not limited to: Taser holster, 9mm Glock magazine pouches, single rifle (AR-15) pouches, handcuff pouches, OC spray pouches, flashlight pouches, general equipment pouches) shall be listed in the bid.
