The Office of Grants and Research (OGR), an agency that is a part of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS), is the State Administering Agency (SAA) for the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Services, Training, Officers, Prosecutors (STOP) Formula Grant, a program originating from the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The STOP Formula Grant is authorized by VAWA and subsequent legislation and supports communities, including American Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages, in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective responses to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking. Funding dedicated for this continuation grant opportunity is contingent upon OGR receiving the FFY 2024 STOP Formula Grant award from OVW.
