The general scope of work will be to replace the existing windows and storefront door units, using commercial style hurricane rated, impact resistant windows and doors. All windows and storefront door units must conform to the large missile impact rating for high velocity Hurricane Zones, or (HVHZ) All windows and doors will be energy efficient, tinted to reduce glare and will be fully operational, so they can be opened for fresh air. All windows and storefront door units will comply with the specifications for hurricane rated impact resistant ratings, as specified in the Florida Building Code and Miami Dade Standards for HVHZ large missile impact. To maintain uniformity among all fire stations within Seminole County, the manufactured brand and style for hurricane impact rated windows and doors will be Eurocraft Industries Manufacturing.
