The purchase of snow and ice removal services for the parking lots, ramps, sidewalks, etc., at the Milwaukee State Office Building at 819 North 6th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53203 and the Milwaukee Crime Lab at 1578 South 11th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204. 3.2.1 The Contractor must monitor weather conditions and respond as needed to maintain contract standards as detailed in this Bid for snow and ice removal including salting 365 days per year throughout the contract period. 3.2.2 Contractor must be responsible for removal, treatment and salting of all snow, ice, sleet and hail, to provide safe and slip free surfaces. Parking lots, entrances, exits, loading area, sidewalks, decks, steps, crosswalks and handicap ramps shall have snow and ice removed to provide safe and slip free surfaces. See Appendix 2 – Building Specifications for additional details specific to each facility. 3.2.3 Hours of service: All plowing, sidewalk clearing and salting shall be initially completed by 6:00am Monday – Friday. If snow occurs after 9:00pm on weekdays, on weekends and/or State Holidays, Contractor can wait until snow has ended to provide cleanup as long as cleanup is complete before 6:00am the following business day (M-F). 3.2.4 If snow continues throughout the day, Contractor shall periodically return to the facility as needed. No more than one (1”) inch of snow will be allowed to accumulate at the facility during hours of service listed in 3.2.3. 3.2.5 Callbacks - The Facility Manager may contact the Contractor to communicate needs for additional snow and ice removal at any time during the day. Response time for callbacks is one (1) hour, twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The Annual Base Cost shall include the cost to return, as needed, to facilities. No additional payments shall be made for callbacks.
