a. Maintain the confidentiality of student information and other review information in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Policy Act (FERPA), state privacy laws, and OSPI policy. b. Maintain neutrality and objectivity in reviewing LEA responses and documentation and in drafting reports to OSPI. c. Attend OSPI training on the review, including regarding the legal requirements in the review, OSPI’s monitoring standards, and logistics for the review. d. Complete reviews in accordance with procedures, checklists, and monitoring standards set out by OSPI. e. Access LEA reports and documentation through an online tool and save records to a shared OSPI OneDrive folder for retention. f. Review LEA responses and documentation for completeness, including ensuring each LEA has provided the correct information and documentation for review. Notify OSPI when an LEA needs to submit additional information or documentation. g. Review LEA responses and documentation for compliance with state and federal law, using OSPI’s checklists, models, and monitoring standards. For each LEA, prepare draft determinations of compliance or noncompliance for OSPI’s review, identifying any substantive inconsistencies with the requirements or questions for further review.
