I. The successful proposer shall advise and assist the City with the following: medical, dental, prescription drugs and stop-loss insurance as a self-funded group, vision care, life insurance, disability insurances, flexible spending account administration, HSA administration, COBRA and retiree administration, critical illness insurance, wellness programs and any other benefits as the City may hereafter elect to provide to its employees. II. Services from year to year may vary based on the City’s needs. However, the successful Proposer will need to be able to provide the following: a. Products Conduct an analysis of current Benefits, carriers and costs, comparing the City of Charleston to other private and public employers and insurance Benefits’ plans. Assist with any Requests for Proposal (RFP) for Benefits, thus analyzing results of proposals, recommending Benefits vendors and assisting the City in designing effective Benefits packages for the following coverages and employee Benefits: Health Plan Claims Administrator, including medical, dental, prescription drug card and stop-loss insurance for a self-funded group Vision Care Wellness Programs Life Insurance proposals Disability Insurance proposals IRS code Section 125, and Flexible Spending Account Administration Voluntary products such as accident, critical illness, whole life, etc. Benefit enrollment needs Other Benefits as the City may hereafter elect to provide to its employees...
