1.1 An adequate supply of scuba diving equipment in a safe and appropriate condition for 10-20 students in each course. This must include, but is not limited to: 1.1.1 Properly inspected and tested air tanks. 1.1.2 Regulators with a pressure gauge and alternate air source. 1.1.3 Buoyancy compensators with oral and automatic Inflation features. 1.1.4 Weight belts. 1.1.5 Full wet suits of appropriate thickness including hood, jacket, pants, boots and gloves for outings. 1.1.6 Approved protection for poolside ceramic tiles. 1.2 Proposer must be capable of offering the following scuba courses: 1.2.1 Basic Open Water, Advanced, and Rescue Diver, with an enrollment maximum of 20 students per lab session. These courses shall Include classroom lecture. confined water experience and open water experience. II is expected that the Basic Open Water course will include an overnight trip to a safe water environment. A typical trip includes travel to the Site in the afternoon of day 1, one morning and one afternoon dive on day 2, two morning dives on day 3, and return to campus on the afternoon of day 3. Other courses may include such a trip or a combination of trips. 1.2.2 Specialty courses which require classroom lecture and open water experience may include: Deep Diver, Underwater Navigator, Night Diver and Underwater Naturalist, Search and Recovery, Altitude Diver, Nitrox, Multi-Level Diver and Drift Diver. 1.2.3 Dive Master, which is offered every term with candidates assisting In Basic Open Water, Advanced, Rescue Diver, and Specially Courses. 1.3 Courses will be scheduled in collaboration with University's PE Assistant Director of Aquatics.
