1. The successful contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, taxes and consumables required to spread and apply IPEMA certified engineered wood fiber playground chips by means of blower trucks or other means. 2. The District will provide the playground perimeter for containment of the loose-fill materials. 3. The Contractor will install the IPEMA certified engineered wood fiber to achieve a minimum depth of nine (9) inches after initial compression has occurred. The District Athletic Fields & Grounds representative, Tom Vaughan, will inspect each playground installation after a minimum of thirty (30) days to determine that the proper minimum depth requirements are fulfilled. In the event that proper coverage depth of nine (9) inches is not achieved after initial compression, the contractor shall return to the site to install additional product. Any necessary additional product shall be billed to the District at the same cost per cubic yard, with no additional charges allowed for any other considerations. 4. All work shall be performed during a school’s normal days and hours of operation, between 7:30 A.M. through 4:00 P.M, unless otherwise coordinated with Mr. Vaughan prior to arriving on District property. The District website provides a calendar of the District’s school year. 5. The Contractor shall perform all work in a first-class manner and to the satisfaction of Greenville County School’s inspectors. Upon completion of each project, the Contractor shall promptly remove all tools, equipment, and supplies from District property. The Contractor shall record accurately the supplies used and work performed. The Contractor shall leave all work areas in a clean and tidy condition. The Contractor shall leave District locations and associated equipment ONLY in fully operational condition.
