1) Watermain Lining Improvement Design, Permitting and Preconstruction services The watermain rehabilitation design shall meet the following performance specifications: a. Design or performance specifications for temporary bypass systems including functionality for customer water metering. b. Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining AWWA Class IV for 16” diameter with water services reestablish via robot or other trenchless technology. CIPP Lined pipe to be pressure tested per ASTM F1216-16-18.3. c. Water system disinfection in accordance with AWWA and IEPA standards. d. Replace all gate valves and perform vault repair or replacement in accordance with Village standards. e. Replace all hydrants with Village standard hydrants. f. Perform existing C factor test to determine existing flow conditions. Perform post project C factor test to document flow capacity to match or improve over existing g. Restoration of surface disturbance. h. Provide GPS As-Built Drawings upon completion of the project. i. Obtain all necessary permits and access agreements, including with the City of Chicago and Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). j. Establish a contingency amount for unforeseen conditions. Design errors and omissions would not be eligible for use of the contingency fund. A suggested contingency is provided in section IV, any variance from the suggested contingency must be explained in the proposal response. k. Identification of all known tees and bends. Inclusion of related excavation, fitting replacements, and restoration. Identify any stretches with less than 25 feet between known bends for open cut replacement. l. While there are not expected to be any lead services encountered, remediate any that are encountered. m. Refer to appendix for detailed specifications and concept plans.
