Core Bid-Base annual haul-out and maintenance Haul Out •Haul out: Haul of ADVENTURE II by means of railway, travel-lift, or lift dock. If a travel-lift type of hoist is used, at least 4 straps must be used, and blocking shall be used between hull and lift straps where appropriate to prevent straps from damaging rails or channels. Pressure Wash Hull, Block Hull Pressure wash bottom of hull, propellers, shafts and struts to remove normal marine fouling. Pressure wash on low setting to prevent damage to wood planking or seam caulking. Provide appropriate blocking for the hull. Provide access to ADVENTURE II by gangplank, ladder or other means. Replace Zincs Remove and replace all zincs. Zincs are to remain unpainted. Prep and Paint Bottom of Hull Below Waterline Bottom work, below the boot, is to include cleaning, scraping, sanding and painting entire bottom of vessel. The successful vendor must inspect areas below the boot for worm activity, caulking loss and general inspections of thru hulls, propeller, strut, shaft and zincs. Successful vendor shall paint shaft (water side only) and prop. Any damage or other issues, like prop cavitations wear, shall be immediately brought to SCPRT’s attention, in writing, before any work is performed in the area. Any additional work or changes in scope must be approved by SCPRT (and reflected on a reissued purchase order) prior to the work being provided. Replace seam caulking as needed prior to painting. Inspect thru hulls, propeller, strut, shaft and replace zincs. Zincs are to remain unpainted. Paint entire bottom of hull and rudder with Pettit Trinidad SR Red following manufacturers drying time between each coat. Exposed wood is to receive three (3) coats of bottom paint. First coat shall be 25% thinned bottom paint and then two full coats bottom paint. Pettit Trinidad SR Red following manufacturers drying time between each coat. After cleaning, scraping and sanding apply two full coats of bottom paint unless wood is exposed, then defer to above instructions: a. Bottom paint is Pettit Trinidad SR Red b. Seam caulk is Pettit below waterline seam compound c. Boot paint is Kirby Dull White d. Prop is Trilux 33
