The City of Phoenix (City) wastewater collection system currently has 77 miles of force mains ranging from 4 inches to 48 inches in diameter. Approximately 64% of the force mains in the wastewater collection system are Ductile Iron Pipe. The City is seeking a Program Manager for the Force Main Program. The Program Manager will be responsible for researching past assessments and Capital Improvement Projects to develop a comprehensive overview and status of the force mains in the wastewater collection system. This includes force main condition assessments, rehabilitation projects, redundant force mains projects, condition of valves and valve vaults, cathodic protection, and review of operation and maintenance records. The Program Manager will first focus on reviewing all available data and incorporating input from Engineering and Operations staff. The Program Manager will develop criteria for prioritizing projects and develop a schedule for assessments for design, and construction. The goal of this Program is to assist Wastewater Engineering with identifying, scheduling, and budgeting Capital Improvement Projects for future fiscal years and developing assessment and rehabilitation cycles.
