1. Operate a CSA program that is open to the public, that delivers to a Chelsea location on a weekly basis, and that is financially accessible for low-income individuals, including individuals who do not qualify for federal and state food assistance programs. 2. Source, procure, and coordinate the delivery and storage of food products, with an emphasis on providing Massachusetts-grown fruits, vegetables, eggs, and other food products. 3. Maintain thorough understanding of and provide access to Massachusetts programs that support local agriculture for low-income individuals and families, including accepting SNAP/EBT payments and upholding certification as a Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) vendor. 4. Promote the CSA program and associated benefits to residents including engaging residents in various and diverse ways, such as offering recipe ideas, a produce storage guide, and other community initiatives. 5. Coordinate the delivery of CSA shares and/or directly employ a contractor and/or staff person to provide CSA transportation services in a properly licensed and insured vehicle (i.e. transportation from the farm to the delivery site). 6. Coordinate the distribution of CSA shares and/or directly employ a contractor and/or staff person to distribute shares to Chelsea residents enrolled in the CSA program, with an emphasis on building knowledge of produce preparation and reducing waste for program participants.
