1. Professional and technical engineering support to the Public Works Director, City Administrator, Department Heads, and any specific requests of the Mayor and City Council through the City Administrator. 2. Receive and resolve public inquiries and concerns regarding City’s public improvements. 3. Participate in the development of short and long-range scope of service and business plans, policies, and procedures. 4. Research, prepare, and present reports to City staff and the Mayor and City Council if required. 5. Assist in the development, management, and implementation of the City’s capital improvement program through technical planning and budgeting support as needed. 6. Review plans and provide comments on subdivision plats, construction and development plans in compliance with capital improvement needs. Approve engineering design of public works and public improvement projects. Review final as-builts and give recommendations on new construction projects. 7. Provide information for master planning for streets, storm, water, wastewater, and assist the Public Works Director in oversight of the same; assist in providing technical information for the administration of the state and federal funds.
