Specifications include, but are not limited to: The bidder will be expected to plow and pile snow at the extremities of the roadways and parking areas at New Fairfield High School, Middle School and New Fairfield Elementary School during the period October 1, 2024, through May 30, 2025. The Contractor must plow snow at a frequency that will not allow any more than 4 inches of snow to accumulate at any given time during a storm. The bidder shall provide all equipment. The curb markers to assist shall be installed and maintained by the Board of Education. The bidder must provide a minimum of 3 snow plowing vehicles of appropriate size at all times. The contractor will be expected to arrive automatically when snow has fallen. Contractor is responsible for all snow over 1”. The contractor will maintain a way to be contacted by the Director of Buildings and Grounds at all times, for example, cell phone number, answering service. The base bid is for work at the High School, Middle School and New Fairfield Elementary School. The bidder shall inspect the snowplowing areas prior to bidding. Sanding of the parking area is not to be included in this bid.
