The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department) seeks to obtain competitive bids for the outright purchase of 784 tons of rip rap rock, for Demetree Road repairs to be delivered to Little Big Econ State Forest located in Geneva, Florida. The Florida Forestry Service (FFS) utilizes rip rap rock to prevent forest culverts from washing out after large amounts of rain. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) and all activities leading toward the anticipated issuance of a purchase order are conducted pursuant and subject to Chapter 287, Florida Statutes (F.S.), and Rule 60A-1, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). This ITB requests a contractor to supply approximately 784 tons of rip rap rock road material (6 to 12 inches) to Little Big Econ State Forest for Demetree Road repairs. This material will also be utilized in the road culverts to help prevent wash out from large amounts of rain. Materials accepted are concrete, limestone, fieldstone, granite, and river rock.s
