Specifications include, but are not limited to: Coppin State University is seeking qualified vendors with appropriate expertise to provide necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to provide snow removal services. 1) Contractor will respond with appropriate staff and equipment within 1.5 hours of notification of services needed. 2) Parking lots are to be cleared when snow accumulates 1 inch or higher unless otherwise determined by CSU Facilities Management. 3) Sidewalks are to be pretreated just prior to the storm and snowfall to eliminate the chance for slips and falls. 4) All sidewalks will be cleared from edge to edge throughout the campus. Walks shall be cleared using laborers with snow shovels and salt spreaders, snow blowers as needed and approved by CSU Facilities. The use of plow equipment on the interior walks is prohibited. (Small sidewalk equipment only). 5) All parking lots and drive lanes will be cleared from curb to curb by skid loaders and trucks with plows and/or bed mounted salt spreaders. All snow will be stacked on site in CSU Facilities approved designated locations. In the event of a larger snow occurs then the use of backhoes, wheel loaders, and dump trucks will be approved if the snow needs to be piled high or removed from site. The dump truck hourly rate does not include offsite removal of snow. (On campus only as designated by CSU Facilities);
