2.4. Project No. 11400REC24: HOLDER MINE CAMPGROUND PAVING PROJECT – PHASE 2 2.4.1. DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING ROAD BASE a. Rip existing road base approximately for two (2) miles (MOL). b. Remove existing road base and dispose at a location designated by Agency personnel. c. Bath house parking should be 18 feet wide. d. 27 campsites locations to be graded and mad ready for asphalt up to concrete slabs. 2.4.2. PREPARE SUB-BASE Provide a stable surface of six (6) inches of limerock. Once limerock is spread, compact and finish. Limerock product shall not contain lumps of aggregate of such nature or insufficient quantity to prevent vendor from obtaining a smooth work surface free from pits and pockets. Limerock shall have no trash or foreign matter or exotic plant species. 2.4.3. PROOF ROLL AND SUB-BASE REPAIR Roll sub-base and repair as necessary. Sub-base should not flex more than one inch (1”) under 36 tons of pressure. 2.4.4. INSTALL NEW ASPHALT Asphalt should be two inches (2”) of S-3 asphalt and prime. 2.5. Project No. 11250ROAD24: TILLIS HILL TRAIL 13 PAVING PROJECT 2.5.1. DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING ROAD BASE a) Rip existing road base approximately for two (2) miles (MOL). b) Remove existing road base and dispose at a location designated by Department personnel. 2.5.2. SWALES The Contractor must construct two (2) intersecting roadway swales at Trail 13 and Trail 20 to prevent erosion on the sides of the trail. 2.5.3. PREPARE SUB-BASE Provide a stable surface of four (4) inches of limerock. Once limerock is spread, compact and finish. Limerock product shall not contain lumps of aggregate of such nature or insufficient quantity to prevent vendor from obtaining a smooth work surface free from pits and pockets.
