Specifications include, but are not limited to: On behalf of the community, The State of Alaska, Department of Environmental Conservation, Village Safe Water Program (department) is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a contractor to design water and sewer improvements for the Old Town area per the recommended Alternative 4 - Dry Separating Toilets with Improved Watering points in addition to the indoor plumbing upgrades in Alternative 1A - Piped Water and Sewer in the attached preliminary engineering report. This work shall include design of: • Two new watering points, • Two urine disposal points with solids disposal stations • Indoor plumbing and fixtures, dry separating toilets, • Haul vehicle, and • Boardwalk improvements. The contractor’s design shall comply with all required regulations and include all permits necessary to complete construction of the project.
