KC Water Department would like to proceed with an evaluation of 87th Street Pump Station to improve screening operations at this facility. Currently, there are four coarse screens, and four fine climber bar screens installed at the facility. The 96-inch sanitary interceptor that discharges to the facility has a recent history of grit and debris accumulation that affects performance of the screens and pump station. The existing bar screens have limited capability to manage the grit and debris from the incoming flow. Centrifugal non-clog pumps discharge flow from the pump station. KC Water would like to evaluate cost effective options to remedy the situation including capital and operational and maintenance costs at the facility. The basic Scope of Services for this Project is organized into three major Task Series: Task Series 100 – Project Administration Task Series 200 – Evaluation Task Series 300 – Optional Services
