Specifications include, but are not limited to: All e-book content must be available to all authorized users via patron authentication; application must allow Institution Libraries to pass valid users to its service using various authentication mechanisms (e.g., IP authentication in conjunction with a proxy server such as EZproxy for off-campus access; Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP); Kerberos; and Shibboleth). Content shall not be limited to the patrons of a single institution unless explicitly specified and separately bid. All titles in the collection should be accessible by an unlimited number of simultaneous users all the time. All e-book content must be available to any walk-in users. Titles in the collection must be made available for users to download. Titles in the collection must be accessible on personal e-readers and mobile devices.
