Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is requesting proposals from interested proposers for hauling Bi-Product Ash. This Bi-Product Ash Hauling Agreement will be used for trucking and associated equipment for three years, with the option to extend two additional years. This agreement covers Nearman Creek, Quindaro and Kaw power plant properties. • Loading/Unloading Fly Ash/Bottom Ash from Nearman Creek Power Plant to Courtney Ridge Landfill and/or Inland Mine Facility. • Loading Portland Cement from Ash Grove Terminal, unloading Portland Cement into storage silo at Nearman Creek Power Plant. • Loading Powder Activated Carbon (PAC) from Norit Activated Carbon Terminal, unload PAC into storage silo at Nearman Creek Power Plant. Note: All materials being procured or disposed of will be paid for by KCBPU and the Contractor shall not be required to pay for material that is being transported.
