Services shall also include Public Works & Utilities Department, Environmental Health Division. The contractor shall be able to provide for the removal of ozone-depleting and substitute refrigerants material from appliances received at Brooks Landfill (4100 N. West St.). The estimated volume is 80 appliances, 4 times per year (approximately 320 appliances per year). This is an estimated amount only and does not guarantee or limit in any way the quantities under this contract. The Contractor must be able to document the removal is compliant with federal regulations found under 40 CFR Part 82 by providing a sticker/tag for each appliance at the time of service, and documenting activities in a spreadsheet to be provided with the invoice. The spreadsheet shall include, at a minimum: the date of recovery, the type and quantity of refrigerant recovered, and the name/identification number of the section 608 certified technician performing the recovery for each appliance. The contractor shall be responsible for the proper storage, recycling, or disposal of all refrigerants recovered. The vendor is to propose an hourly labor charge only. This hourly rate to include any and all incidental costs such as per diem, portal-to-portal, and the like. The City of Wichita will pay a standard hourly rate for service calls between 8:00 a. m. and 5:00 p. m. (CST), Monday through Friday. The City will pay one and one-half (1½) times the standard hourly rate for service calls after 5:00 p. m. and all-day Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The hourly rate will be paid for only the time at the job site (one hour guarantee minimum), no travel time will be paid. The minimum charge for the service call per location will be the standard hourly labor rate during regular hours and one and one-half (1½) times that rate for the service call after 5:00 p.m., all day Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Service call must include charges such as fuel, trip, mobilization, personal vehicle, service truck and mileage charges. The Contractor shall make such repairs as deemed necessary by the City Departments, Boards and Agencies and the Wichita Housing Authority; such service will be rendered. Contractor must supply twenty-four (24) hour emergency service, seven (7) days a week including holidays, when needed. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all salvage material (unless requested by the Department). Contractor must contact City staff upon arrival and prior to departure from the service job site in order to track actual hours of the service.
