The City of Chattanooga is seeking a general contractor to build, hire and manage trades, and provide oversight and management for the redevelopment and construction of a new city park at 1785 Reggie White Boulevard encompassing the site of the existing Chattanooga Skate Park. The existing Chattanooga Skate Park will be almost entirely demolished and replaced with a new formed in place, in ground, concrete skate park to be constructed by others under the supervision of the General Contractor. The general contractor will be directly responsible for performing and coordinating all work and tradespeople for the remainder of the park construction. These responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to: demolitions, grading, drainage, hardscape, landscape, irrigation, lighting, electrical, plumbing, construction of a bathroom / maintenance building, fencing, ADA facilities, parking lot striping, and site furnishings. The project site is governed by a soil management plan which must be followed at all times. The project site contains an existing roller rink which will remain in place. Parking, access, and construction staging will require coordination with adjacent property owners under the terms of a existing parking management and lease agreements.
