Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The CWA program encompasses a unique scope of work. Specially trained detection dog teams traverse roughly 6,000 km2 highly remote area that encompasses public, private, and Native American land, in search of scat from the medium to large carnivores that inhabit the area. Hence, specialized fieldwork teams familiar with our program possess dogs who have already been trained to locate wolf, cougar, coyote, bobcat, bear, wolverine, fisher, marten and fox scat. These specialized teams locate scat in the designated field, collect samples, and log the GPS location of each sample scat collected utilizing sophisticated equipment and tools for logging essential data in the field.
