Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.11. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: CHEESE 4.11.1 Only “natural or pasteurized process cheese” will be accepted and shall comply with all applicable Federal regulations including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s regulations contained in 21 CFR Part 133. 4.11.2 Goods must melt at a minimum heat of 150 degrees Fahrenheit. 4.11.3 Good(s) must be gluten-free; good(s) containing wheat-based ingredients will not be accepted 4.11.4 Goods cannot contain gelatin of animal origin, or any other meat by-products. 4.11.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: CHEESE, SLICED, LOW SODIUM 4.11.1 Goods MUST be minimum of 14 grams not to exceed 18 grams per slice slices can be individually wrapped or not. 4.11.2 Goods MUST contain a minimum of 2 grams of protein per 14 gram serving. 4.11.3 ODOC will accept only American, Swiss, or cheddar. 4.11.4 Sodium content not to exceed 130 mg per slice.
