The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (ADVS) is the state agency responsible for the 600,000 service members, veterans and family members that call Arizona home. The ADVS mission is to be the catalyst in response to the evolving needs of Arizona’s veterans and their families. ADVS intends to award to a Veteran Resource Center within Pinal County for the purposes of providing support, direct services and referrals to enhance the quality of life for Veterans residing in Pinal County. 2. Contractor Requirements 2.1. The Veteran Resource Center must already be in operation and reside within Pinal County. 2.2. The Veteran Resource Center must provide employment services: 2.2.1. Resume assistance; 2.2.2. Job search; 2.2.3. Job coaching; and 2.2.4. Mock interviewing. 2.3. The Veteran Center must be able to provide or refer resources for job training. 2.4. The Veteran Center must be able to provide or refer resources for housing. 2.5. The Veteran Resource Center must be able to provide or refer Veterans for utility Assistance. 3. Additional Considerations not required, but will be considered: 3.1. The Veteran Resource Center is able to refer or provides Veteran Benefit Counseling. 3.2. The Veteran Resource Center is open at least 5 days of the week and accepts walk-ins. 3.3. The Veteran Resource Center provides food resources. 3.4. The Veteran Resource Center provides clothing resources. 3.5. The Veteran Resource Center can refer or provide transportation services.
