Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Department of Airports has an existing standardized system of ADA-compliant stanchions from Visiontron, which are used extensively throughout the terminal and concourse areas to manage passenger flow and provide accessible, safe, and organized queuing for individuals with disabilities. These stanchions have been installed throughout the airport for several years. To maintain a consistent appearance and functionality, it is essential that new stanchions match the existing ones in both design and operation. Any deviation in design could result in inconsistencies that detract from the airport's overall appearance and operational flow. The stanchions are specifically designed to meet ADA requirements, providing accessible queuing solutions for all passengers, including those with disabilities. Introducing stanchions from another vendor could introduce variability in compliance with ADA standards, potentially creating accessibility issues or requiring additional modifications.
