A. The scope of this project is to replace existing water distribution service saddles and copper service lines utilizing the existing tap on the water distribution transit main. All existing copper service lines from the existing water distribution service saddles to the meter yolk must be replaced with new ¾” copper service line. The new copper service line must then be reconnected to the existing service yolk in the meter pit. B. As outlined in Attachment A - Golf Course Drive - Water Distribution Service Saddle Replacement Drawings, nineteen (19) of the existing meter vaults must be relocated from their current location to the resident’s property. C. All the exiting water distribution service saddles in this area must be replaced with Owner furnished Coated Service Saddle with Double Stainless-Steel Straps and as specified in Attached B and installed by the Contractor. All existing copper service lines from the water service saddle to the meter yolk must be replaced with Contractor furnished and installed new ¾-inch copper service line. D. Work shall include installing new Owner furnished Coated Service Saddle with Double Stainless-Steel Straps. The Contractor must furnish and install all branch piping, corporation stops, and dielectric couplings. Further, the Contractor must furnish and install new ¾-inch copper piping from the branch piping to meter vault and then reconnect it to the existing yolk. E. The Owner shall furnish new Coated Service Saddle with Double Stainless-Steel Straps for all replacements included in this Project. The Contractor must furnish and install all necessary and required ¾-inch brass corporation stops, ¾-inch brass flare couplings, new ¾-inch copper piping, materials/parts, and CR-6 for backfill and temporary paving. F. All paving shall be temporary paving. Permanent paving is not required.
