2.1 COLOR All equipment and attachments must be painted in the manufacturer’s standard color. All paint must be lead free. 2.2 CONFIGURATION 2.2.1 Chassis shall be tricycle design with pivoting rear guide wheels. Rear guide wheels shall have dual tires. 2.3 PERFORMANCE: 2.3.1 The sweeper must be capable of travel at 20 MPH fully loaded and a sweeping speed of 3 MPH (without dragging the brakes). 2.3.2 Exterior noise level without the broom running must not exceed 82 dBA when measured in accordance with SAE J366. 2.3.3 Cab interior noise suppression must be the manufacturer’s standard. 2.3.4 The sweeper’s fuel tank must be sized to provide 8 hours of continuous service, in normal conditions, without refueling. 2.3.5 Curb to curb turning radius at GVW must not exceed 15 feet. 2.3.3 The minimum sweeping path width with both gutter brooms operating is 10 feet. 2.4 DIMENSIONS: 2.4.1 The overall height of the sweeper, including the exhaust stack, and mini light bars, must not exceed 133 inches in the highway mode or normal sweeping configuration. 2.4.2 The overall width of the sweeper in transport mode must not exceed 102 inches excluding mirrors. 2.4.3 The axle, tire, wheel, and other components must meet or exceed the weight of the sweeper unit under maximum load conditions. Maximum load conditions must mean the sweeper unit equipped as stated herein and carrying maximum debris load capacity, full fuel, and water tanks, plus a 300-pound operator.
