This will be a discounted pricing agreement to be reduced from the list price for Kitchen Equipment (Lot A) and Kitchen Equipment Parts (Lot B). The successful offeror(s) must submit a detailed description of the offeror’s proposed discount program. This contract is designed to offer the best possible discounted pricing for kitchen equipment purchased to achieve cost savings through a single bid process and eliminate random purchasing by end users. The state of South Carolina has contracts for kitchen equipment in place. Currently a mandatory combi-ovens contract, mandatory convection ovens contract and ice maker & storage bin contract. take precedence and will be utilized first. Should any overlap occur with current or future State contracts, it is understood the State contracts take precedence and will be utilized as intended by the State of South Carolina. 1. Kitchen Equipment (Lot A) Requirements a. Offerors must have the ability to “set equipment in place” as requested by the end user. When requested, it will be the responsibility of the successful offeror(s) to deliver equipment to on-campus locations as determined by the ordering department. Offeror(s) will deliver, unpack, set equipment in place in a ready to use status, and remove all packaging leaving areas clean and neat. b. Equipment or parts that is damaged upon delivery will be returned at the offeror’s expense with an expedited replacement. c. If assistance is needed specifying a piece of equipment based on utility load or space, a representative of the potential offerors company will be expected to come to campus to meet with University personnel to determine the best option. 2. Kitchen Equipment PARTS (Lot B) Requirements a. In-stock parts must be shipped within 48 hours. b. Parts that are damaged or not whole upon delivery will be returned at the Offeror’s expense with an expedited replacement. c. Any parts or materials used or installed on any Clemson University equipment MUST meet or exceed the requirements of the manufacturer of the equipment. In the event of failure of components or materials, Clemson University Utilities reserves the right to ask the offeror for proof of such compliance. 3. General Requirements a. The absence of detailed specifications or the omission of detailed description shall be recognized as meaning that only the best commercial practices are to prevail and that only first quality materials and workmanship are to be used. All interpretations of the specifications shall be made from this statement. It is understood that the specifications or references to available specifications shall be sufficient to make the terms of such specifications binding on the contractor. b. If the item purchased is on sale or under another promotion, Clemson University will receive the lower of the two prices at the time of purchase. The percentage off will remain constant during the duration of the contract and all renewals unless a higher discount will be offered.
