The Florida Department of Education states that these industry certification exams are to be given to students in the IT and web technology career pathways. It provides curriculum and testing for students in Middle, High, Adult education programs that focuses on core standards and foundational skills in the world of IT, including Web design, development, security, administration, networking and databases. Certification Partners (CIW) complies with the highest industry standards in assessing and verifying that certified individuals have the job skills necessary to master a technology-drive world. Certified CIW professionals have proven abilities that set them apart from other Web professionals. No other vendor or reseller can price, sell, suppl, or support this exclusive licensing option from Certification Partners. Since these certification exams are required by the DOE for funding, if Certification Partners (CIW), discontinued these products, the Florida Department of Education would need to modify the curriculum Frameworks and industry certification requirements for these specific IT and Web technology CTE programs.
