Specifications include, but are not limited to: The basic vehicle used for this conversion both chassis and body, must be a current year factory OEM production model unibody rear wheel drive passenger wagon, max front GVWR, incorporating the latest engineering change with a GVWR minimum of 9,000 lb., sufficient to accommodate all modifications and maximum passenger loading that is catalogued by the manufacturer and for which manufacturer's published literature and printed specifications are currently available. The vehicle shall provide maximum passenger appeal in appearance, comfort, safety, and economy of operation. The vehicle provided shall be fully tested to assure compliance with the performance and safety requirements of the specification. The converted vehicle must meet the requirements specified by FTA regarding Altoona Bus Test. All testing must have been completed on current converted body style. The Vendor is required to provide tests results and/or certifications ensuring compliance with regulations and/or the requirements of the specifications at bid submission.
