The Contractor is hereby notified that work to be accomplished under this contract includes work to be performed on or above property owned by the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak). The Contractor’s work must be accomplished simultaneously with ongoing daily railroad operations. Such operations include the passage of trains, flagging, inspection, repair, construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of the railroad right- of-way and facilities. The Contractor will be required to perform the following work on Bridge No. 03116 on or above the Amtrak Right of Way: 1. Selective clearing and thinning. 2. Concrete substructure repairs. 3. Repair of bearing pedestals. 4. Replace expansion bearings with elastomeric expansion bearings. 5. Clean fixed bearings and apply HRCSA corrosion protection system. 6. Construct keeper blocks. 7. Perform beam end repairs with UHPC Concrete. 8. Perform localized paint removal and painting of steel at beam ends. 9. Peen cover plates. 10. Repair weep drains. 11. Clean and coat reinforcement on underside of deck. 12. Reconstruct deck ends. 13. Install deck joints 14. Apply sealer to parapets 15. All other work incidental to the completion of the project
