The Maryland State Highway Administration’s Office of Maintenance Facility Operation Division Hanover Complex is soliciting a lump sum bid for a contractor to demolish, fabricate, and replace up to 190 lineal feet of stepped custom steel rain gutter. This contract provides for commercial vendors that possess the tools, knowledge, and skillset to complete this task at the State Highway Administration Hanover Complex Office of Traffic Safety OOTS Building. The vendor is to use best practices established in the construction industry to perform this work in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA, MOSH, codes, regulations, and standards. The vendor shall be licensed to perform work in the state of Maryland. The existing gutter system appears to be fabricated from prefinished 24-gauge stucco embossed steel. The standing seam metal roof panels also originate from the same material. The sheet metal gutter sits below the roof eave, seemingly designed to continue the decorative sheet metal cornice/soffit assembly. The gutter is deteriorating in varying degrees, from surface rust to completely rusted through.
