This is a project for preliminary design, updated environmental investigations and studies, updated archaeological and historical baseline studies, and additional geotechnical investigation and study for the replacement of a bridge between. A previous feasibility and planning study was performed to identify a replacement bridge over the Clackamas River connecting the City of Gladstone and City of Oregon City in the area of a former bridge that supported tracks for a Trolley. The study confirmed the feasibility of locating the bridge along the Trolley Trail alignment between Portland Avenue and the Clackamas River Greenway Trail. Contingency tasks and requiring approval from ODOT that would include developing environmental permit applications; developing right of way maps, descriptions, and appraisals; and developing final Plans, Specifications, & Estimate documents.; This project will perform an updated topographic survey of the area and identify public right-of-way through and around the proposed bridge location and will finalize the preliminary design of a replacement structure and the associated trail path approach alignments, water quality facilities. Permanent and temporary easements are anticipated.
