The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) Hagerstown Maintenance Complex is soliciting bids for electrical maintenance, repairs and emergency services for SHA equipment and systems at the Hagerstown Maintenance Complex and all other SHA properties in Washington County, Maryland. Pricing for this work shall be time and material pricing for repairs and emergency services. A. This specification describes the requirements to provide qualified licensed electrical repairs, installation, maintenance, replacement, and remodeling services on an as-needed basis at the locations specified in the Invitation for Bid (IFB). All parts/materials used by the Contractor shall be billed to SHA at the wholesale cost to the Contractor plus percentage of mark-up not to exceed ten (10) percent. An original copy of the Contractor’s source invoice(s) for all materials/parts must accompany the invoice submitted in order to be reimbursed. Payment shall not be made for any materials/supplies without the proper documentation attached to the Contractor’s original invoice. SHA has the option to purchase directly to any individual part/material for the service/repair that exceeds $500.00 in cost. This Contract is not an exclusive Contract. SHA reserves the right to separately bid out labor and parts/supplies for any job as determined by the Contract Manager. B. Electrical services include, but are not limited to, the repair and maintenance of all electrical systems associated within the following office buildings or other State-owned buildings and facilities. Electrical services include, but are not limited to, emergency response, possible design, installation, maintenance, reconditioning, replacement, diagnostic, troubleshooting, or repair that may be required by the SHA. The Contractor will be expected to perform the required electrical services from verbal request.
