A. The Vendor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary to trim and/or remove trees as directed by the County. B. The Vendor shall furnish traffic control staff with required safety equipment and current Maryland MUTCD flagger cards at site in compliance with Federal Highway Administration Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, current edition amended to date. C. Each 5-person (standard and optional) crew shall consist of the following: 1) Three (3) qualified tree removal/trimming staff and two (2) Maryland certified flaggers. 2) Transportation for each 5-person crew is the responsibility of the Vendor. 3) Standard Crews must be equipped with the following: a) 55’ aerial device with a 70’ reach complete with a hydraulic saw & pruner for bucket. b) Disk chipper (8” minimum) with rotary feed. c) Power saws to include: i. One with a minimum 30” bar. ii. One with a 10” to 12” bar. iii. One with a 16” to 18” bar. iv. One pole saw. 4) Optional Crews must be equipped with the following: a) 55’ (non-CDL) aerial device aerial lift truck complete with a hydraulic saw & pruner for bucket. b) Disk chipper (8” minimum) with rotary feed. c) Power saws to include: i. One with a minimum 30” bar. ii. One with a 10” to 12” bar. iii. One with a 16” to 18” bar. iv. One pole saw. D. The County reserves the right to reduce the number of crews and/or hours if it is found that such services are not required during the term specified or if funding is not available. Quantities stated in this Invitation for Bid are estimates and are not guaranteed amounts. E. The Vendor shall assign one General Superintendent / Foreman to exclusively oversee daily operations of all crews awarded as a result of this Invitation for Bid. That individual is to serve as a liaison between the County and the Vendor.
